This preamplifier has been conceived to express the maximum musical quality.
We have followed the concept of maximum simplicity and minimum length signal path, using analog circuits only, without caps on the signal path. For this reason, it isn’t provided with a remote control.
The power supply 50W toroid transformers - one per channel - are doubled (magnetic and electrostatic) screened to avoid any noise generation and induction. The power supply circuits - one per channel - embed inductive filters to eliminate harmonics frequency on the power line. All power supply caps are specified for audio application and altogether count up to 16.000 mF.
A high current Litio rechargeable battery version with 10 hours autonomy is also available, in order to obtain the maximum power supply quality. This choice seems to clear music from a thin cover.
The volume control is made of a double carbon strip potentiometer, that allows to get the right tonal balance. A high precision 24 steps potentiometer, with a more skinny sound character, is also available.
The device can drive very long lines as well as very low impedance loads.
Internal power lines and signal paths wirings are achieved by very high quality cables and using the minimum amount of connectors, all soldered using a tin/silver alloy, while PCB tracks are gold plated. Inputs and outputs are RF filtered.
As EQRIAA, this device employs the exclusive Millennia class A amplification circuit, one of the best in the world.
An AUX output is available for a number of uses such as recording, subwoofer out, etc. Thank to an internal switch, its level can be either fixed or variable (the last following the general volume control).
Soft Audio Devices are designed to kill every mechanical vibration; that's why it is possible to replace rubber feet with steel cones, if you own a very stiff table.
Although the preamplifier is ready to go in a few seconds, we advise you to wait 15 minutes to taste its best performances.
